Run for Kids

Brentwood, TN

Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes tried to host their annual Run for Kids races on April 22nd but the weather didn't cooperate. Because of the cancellation we are hosting our first annual virtual race. The event includes 5K Run/Walk and a 1-Mile Kids Race. The event raises awareness and funds for the TBCH's Brentwood Campus, and will enable staff to take care of up to 33 children at any one time.

Rain Can't Keep Us Down!

Thank you to everyone who signed up for the 15th Annual Run For Kids! For the first time in our race history, the weather caused our team to cancel our event.

Rather than rescheduling, we are excited to announce our first ever Virtual Run For Kids!

Here's How It Works:

Pick your favorite 5K route.

Tell your running buddies who have not registered, to register and run with you!

Run like the wind...you might win a prize.

Send a screenshot of your running app results or a pic of your running watch to JMcGinnis@tennesseechildren.org by June 12th, 2017.

Feel great about Running for Kids!

Oh, and don't forget kids 12 and under can submit their 1 mile results as well!

PLEASE NOTE: All PAID 2017 Run For Kids participants do not need to register again. BUT new Runners should register before completing their virtual 5K.

About TBCH

For over 125 years, Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes has proudly served Tennessee communities, providing loving homes for children who have been orphaned, abandoned, neglected and many times abused. Our mission is to minister the love of Jesus Christ to children and families in crisis, accepting all children regardless of race, creed or socio-economic background. We do not accept government funding and rely on gifts from supporters, so that we may continue to teach our children Christian values.

Today, TBCH has five locations throughout Tennessee and cares for approximately 200 children each year through our residential care ministry. In recent years, we also began the George Shinn Foster Care Program, through which we train and equip families in our community to receive and care for children through Tennessee’s Department of Children’s Services system.
